A pedestrian was struck by a train and killed Sunday afternoon in Oceanside, a sheriff’s lieutenant said. It happened about 12:30 p.m. near where Mission Avenue crosses the train tracks between North Cleveland and North Myers streets, sheriff’s Lt. Josh Stone said. The area is approximately two blocks east of the beach and the city’s pier.
