In his final greetings to international pilgrims on Wednesday, the Pope imparted his special Advent blessings.

Often homilies are so long, 20 or 30 minutes, that people will go outside to smoke a cigarette and come back, the pope said.

At a general audience, Pope Francis said that homilies should run under 10 minutes and be guided by the Holy Spirit.
