The former head of thematic strategy for BlackRock’s global allocation team will join Citi’s wealth business as chief investment officer.

The financial industry veteran will be taking over a broad mandate, including developing investment strategies and overseeing multiple groups across Citi's wealth business.

Incoming Chief Investment Officer Kate Moore will have “broad responsibilities” at the firm, according to Citi Wealth Head Andy Sieg.

Citigroup said that Kate Moore, a portfolio manager at BlackRock, will join its Citi Wealth business as chief investment officer. Moore, who most recently served as head of thematic strategy for BlackRock’s $50 billion global allocation business, will move to Citigroup in February, according to an internal memo seen by Bloomberg News.
