A report claims the Nintendo Switch 2 release date is set for March 28th - here's why the actual launch might happen much earlier.

A Switch 2 accessory maker has claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 is set for release in April. Genki, which reportedly told a journalist that they own a real Switch 2, has said that the console, which Nintendo has yet to announce, is due in April.

Though no games have been officially confirmed for the Nintendo Switch's successor, two rumored launch titles could deliver a powerful one-two punch.

Gaming accessories maker Genki is showing off its Switch 2 mockup to press at the Consumer Electronics Show, and based on a report from French publication Numerama, it has plenty to say about Nintendo’s unannounced next-gen console.

The latest best guess for a Switch 2’s release date is March 28. This comes courtesy of Italian website Uagna, which claimed both first-party and third-party Switch 2 accessories will go on sale on that date. And why would you buy a console accessory if the machine itself isn’t available?
