A 44-year-old man died Friday after an apparent fall while hiking in an icy area of the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

Christopher Huyler’s body was found around 1 a.m. at approximately 2,800 feet in elevation, near a steep, icy slide in the Coppermine Brook valley, officials said.
