Amid speculation of him being traded from the LA Lakers, a mock trade has surfaced where the Dallas Mavericks land LeBron James.

There have been rumors about LeBron James leaving the Los Angeles Lakers recently. This speculation has happened before and never resulted in anything, but could James really leave the Lakers this offseason?

The team announced that Cooper Flagg, the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA draft, signed his rookie deal with the Mavericks and that he will participate in the Summer League for the team. Dallas did not disclose the terms of the deal, citing team policy, but the deal is expected to be a four-year contract worth about $62 million.

Kidd and Vogel will now swap positions from that Lakers staff with the latter working under the former. The Mavericks brought Vogel in last October as a consultant. He last held a coaching title during the 2023-24 season when he led the Phoenix Suns.

The Mavericks are finalizing an agreement to have Frank Vogel join the team as a lead assistant coach, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
