Houston’s offseason overhaul continues. The Rockets are trading forward Cam Whitmore to the Washington Wizards for two second-round picks, according to multiple reports. The deal, which was confirmed on July 6, was folded into an existing framework involving CJ McCollum’s larger trade to the Wizards from the New Orleans Pelicans.

Cam Whitmore, drafted by the Rockets with the 20th pick in 2023, didn't receive consistent playing time in two seasons under coach Ime Udoka.
