The 18th package of sanctions against Russia includes over 100 shadow fleet vessels, a lower price cap on Russian oil and measures targeting banks and companies outside the Russian Federation involved in supporting its war machine.

EU countries are close to reaching an agreement on a new package of sanctions against Russia, the bloc's foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Tuesday.

The decision was taken after Slovakia dropped its block on the sanctions, which provide for lowering a price cap on Russian oil exports, blacklisting 'shadow fleet' oil tankers and sanctions on companies in India and China.
