The storm is expected to reach its height between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. and could bring 3 to 6 inches of snow to inland areas of the state.

By noontime, look for heavy rain in southern NH and beginning in southern Maine. Heavy snow is moving into the foothills of western Maine where temperatures are closer to that freezing mark. A defined rain-snow line will build and set-up on the west side of the I-95 corridor. Between 1PM and 8PM will be our worst travel times.

The National Weather Service is keeping an eye on a possible storm late in the week, but meteorologists say wintry weather Tuesday could cause travel problems in interior Maine.
