Showers and thunderstorms are expected late this afternoon and into the evening, dropping as much as 1 to 2 inches of rain an hour, according to AccuWeather.

A flood watch is in effect for areas surrounding the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland as remnants of Chantal will bring the chance of showers and a few thunderstorms to the area.
