Deandre Ayton had 26 points and nine rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 115-106 victory over the Sacramento Kings in an NBA Cup game on Friday night. Anfernee Simons added 21 points and nine assists and Deni Avdija had 20 points and nine rebounds for the Blazers.

The Blazers led 87-72 entering the fourth quarter thanks to their exceptional defense against the Kings, who entered the night 13th in scoring (114.1 points per game) and 10th in offensive rating (113.9). Sacramento scored shot just 35.3% in the third.

The Sacramento Kings will be without Kevin Huerter for the remainder of Friday's matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.
