A SWAT team was called to South Fayette after the sheriff's office said deputies had to "take positions of cover" while serving an eviction notice.

An Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson says this situation started when deputies tried to service an eviction notice on the 1300 block of Oakridge Road in South Fayette.

Sheriff’s deputies were “attempting to serve an eviction notice” in South Fayette on Oakridge Road when “the situation quickly deteriorated” with shots reportedly being fired at officers.

When officers arrived, they found a man they believed could be armed who then barricaded himself inside a car, said officer Austin Zarling, a police spokesperson. The SWAT unit was called and spent several hours trying to "peacefully resolve" the incident,

A family disturbance call led to a SWAT callout in east Austin early Sunday morning, according to the Austin Police Department. Austin police said the callout ended peacefully around 12:25 p.m. with the suspect in custody.

Police said officers were called to the scene around 5:38 a.m. after reports of a family disturbance with one person possibly armed.
