Dozens filled Jackson Academy’s basketball arena on Saturday to watch their local police officers and firefighters ball-out in honor of fallen Hinds County Deputy Martin Shields, Jr.

While rain posed a concern and the basketball court had been vandalized, hundreds of residents came together at Shawnee Park's Courtney Bradley Court to show their support.
