Sega has announced that a remaster of Virtua Fighter 5 is coming to Steam. The remaster will be called Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. and is set to release this winter, with no official date confirmation yet. Sega describes it as “the Ultimate Edition of this legendary game”, and says it will boast 4K visuals with “updated hi-res textures and more”.

Sega will release Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. on PC via Steam with support for 4K graphics and rollback netcode in the 2024-2025 Winter season.

Publisher SEGA has confirmed that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will arrive on PC sometime this winter (2024). The latest numbered iteration in the long-running 3D arena fighter series will make its PC debut on Steam with this launch.

While Virtua Fighter has been dominant at arcades and on consoles, its time on PC has been brief. Following the release of 1997’s Virtua Fighter 2, the franchise stopped dropping future installments on PC.
