CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A mosquito has tested positive for West Nile Virus in Chicopee. According to the state’s Department of Health and Human Services, the single sample was taken on July 10.

Due to the risk of transmission, the DOH in Lafayette County is asking the community to be aware of mosquito bites and to take basic precautions.
