DeVito is the only quarterback on the active roster at this present time, as Drew Lock and Tim Boyle are also free agents. The Giants are looking at outside options at quarterback, which include Aaron Rodgers and potentially trading up in the draft to select Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders. Sam Darnold could also be an option in free agency.

Rodgers is set to be released by the New York Jets on June 1, making him a free agent with the freedom to sign with any team. On Thursday afternoon, Giants reporter Art Stapleton revealed that Rodgers’ representatives have been in negotiations with the Giants.

The Giants are trying to chart a better course at the quarterback position in 2025, but there will be at least one reminder of the bad old days on the roster when they get back to work in the spring.

The Giants will have at least one quarterback on their roster entering the new league year, just not the one most fans hoped for.

After going quarterback-less for a number of weeks now, the Giants will finally ink a quarterback ahead of next week’s start to free agency.
