Dorna Sports, the promoter of MotoGP, the elite tier of motorcycle racing, has announced a new five-year deal with the Brasil Motorsport body and the local government of Brazil’s Goiás region that will see races staged annually in the country.

After a two-decade wait, MotoGP will return to Brazil in 2026 on a five-year deal. In 2026 MotoGP will return to Brazil for the first Brazilian Grand Prix since 2004. The new deal between MotoGP, the government of Goiás, and Brasil Motorsport will run for five seasons (2026-2030).

The Goiânia International Racetrack Ayrton Senna, which will host the events, first welcomed MotoGP from 1987 to 1989. The sport then raced elsewhere in Brazil before a two-decade intermission which will conclude in 2026 once upgrades to the venue in Goiânia are completed.
