Considering The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 is still more than a year away, there’s a good chance we won’t see any form of a trailer until at least the tail end of 2025.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder (released by Nintendo) and Spider-Man 2 (released by PlayStation) both dropped on Oct. 20. The games are receiving positive reviews from places like IGN, GameSpot and PCMag.

Over on X (formerly Twitter), Sakurai revealed that he knocked out Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder within the same weekend. Both games launched last Friday, October 20.

In other words, Super Mario Bros. Wonder 2 will reportedly not release for Nintendo Switch 2 until its fourth year on the market. Unfortunately, this is the extent of the rumor.
