A tornado warning has been issued for Savant Lake and Sturgeon Lake in northwestern Ontario. Here's the latest from Environment and Climate Change Canada on how to stay safe.

This means that instead of receiving a tornado warning just 15 minutes before a storm strikes, residents could get up to two hours’ notice. The technology also allows for more targeted alerts, potentially narrowing warnings from entire regions to just one or two counties.
A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Ocean County in New Jersey until 11:30 p.m. Parts of Atlantic County were also originally included in the warning, but the warning has expired there. The National Weather Service said a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located northeast of Atlantic City at 11:16 p.m.
