Analyzing UCF Knights football coaching candidates to replace Gus Malzahn, who resigned to take the Florida State football offensive coordinator job.

Malzahn, whose team finished a 4-8 season with a 28-14 home loss Friday night to Utah, is stepping down to become the new offensive coordinator at FSU. ESPN first reported the move late Saturday afternoon, and UCF announced it via social media shortly thereafter.

Malzahn went 28-24 with the Knights, but after two nine-win seasons in the AAC, UCF fell to 10-15 in its first two seasons in the Big 12.
