Bengaluru ranked 36th out of 44 cities in the Swachh Survekshan 2024 cleanliness survey. This marks an improvement from its previous position of 43rd in 2022.

At present, B-Khata property remains outside the purview of the Karnataka Town & Country Planning (KTCP) Act, 1961.
