The Arizona Diamondbacks have activated outfielder Corbin Carroll from the 10-day injured list. Carroll, who was sidelined since June 18 with a chip fracture in his left wrist, returned to his customary leadoff spot and was starting in right field against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday.

Diamondbacks starter Ryne Nelson tied a season high with 6 2/3 innings vs. the Giants in his most recent start, with no walks and seven strikeouts.
