Stock futures are pointing to a lower open for major U.S. indexes on Thursday as the equities market gives back some of the previous session's big gains.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the other major indexes were mixed Wednesday morning after the November consumer price index came in as expected. Tesla looked to continue its winning streak, while Nvidia tried to recover on the stock market today.

Dow Jones fell in the stock market today. Nvidia rose from a key level of support. AI stock fell after earnings. Tesla got a boost from an analyst upgrade.

Google broke out on its Willow quantum computing chip as Tesla races. But that masked underlying weakness in growth stocks again.

Apple stock rallied to new highs, further above a recent buy point, while Nvidia declined to a key support level Monday.
