Temba Bavuma said that South Africa will focus on what's in their control to bag a place in the WTC final to be held next year. On Saturday, the Proteas defeated Sri Lanka by 233 runs in Durban.

South Africa have now won four tests in a row and remain on course for a place in the World Test Championship final. They must win at least two of their three remaining tests in the 2024-25 cycle against Sri Lanka next week in Gqeberha and Pakistan shortly afterwards in Pretoria and Cape Town.

SA managed 191 in the first innings before SL folded for 42. In their 2nd innings, SA posted 366/5d. In response, SL offered some resistance.
