Elanga’s standout attribute is his frightening physicality, with the Swede undoubtedly one of the fastest footballers on the planet – as seen in the days leading up to his transfer, when the winger was recorded running a 100m sprint in just 10.93 seconds, with a top speed of 39.7km/h (24.7 mph).

Anthony Elanga has completed a move from Nottingham Forest to Newcastle for a reported 55 million pounds ($74 million).

Elanga was born in Malmo, Sweden, where his father Joseph played as a defender. Anthony played for Elfsborg as a child, but when the family moved to Manchester in 2013, he was scouted by both Manchester City and Manchester United. He signed for the latter and progressed through the academy to make his senior debut in May 2021, aged 19.
