JEFFERSON COUNTY — The driver in a Valentine's Day crash that killed a 20-year-old woman has now been charged. Huggy Smiles Kindness, 36, from High Ridge, was charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter this week. Authorities identified the driver of the other vehicle as Jaden Martinson, of Dittmer.

Colorado State Patrol (CSP) said they learned of the crash just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The agency said a 59-year-old man on a motorcycle crashed east of the town of Coal Creek near Cattle Trail Drive and died at the scene.

The Hendricks County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened Sunday afternoon. According to a release from the HCSO, around 2 p.m. on March 2, deputies responded to a report of a crash along State Road 75 near the intersection with Vontress Drive in the town of Coatesville.

JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 23-year-old De Soto woman died in a crash near Festus Saturday afternoon, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. The woman was driving a 2010 Ford Expedition north on Highway 67 near Highway CC around 3:45 p.m. when she hit the rear of a truck that was slowing for congestion, the troupers said.
