Milwaukee Public Schools have been out of compliance with a state law requiring them to have 25 officers in schools.

As advocates against police presence in Milwaukee schools continue to speak out, the district is over a year late on a state requirement to add them.

Public Schools has been required to implement a 25-officer school resource officer program. It's not the first time the district has used that type of program.
