Police have identified the shooter in Monday’s deadly attack on a Madison, Wisconsin, private Christian school as a 15-year-old female student as they investigate the latest school shooting to devastate an American community.

Authorities also said the shooter, Natalie Rupnow, 15, had been in contact with a 20-year-old man in California, who was plotting a mass shooting with the teenager and told her he was planning to attack a government building.
