Snow is finally falling in the capital region, though the day’s morning commute was largely spared from chaos. A special weather statement from Environment Canada said a low-pressure system is bringing heavy snow to the national capital region, beginning the morning of Dec. 4. The snow is expected to taper off early the next day.

Environment Canada has issued a weather travel advisory for the area which says Toronto and the surrounding regions could see snowfall accumulations of up to 5 cm.
