Dec 24, 2021 · While the PS5 store is indeed bad, it's still leagues more responsive than the PS4 "store", which was the worst console storefront I've ever been subjected to. So while I still dont like it, its at least serviceable when I need to use it on occasion.

Nov 29, 2023 · Steam is definitely going to make everything else look bad, but yes, the worst qualities of the PS5 store are very, very bad. UX has been kind of a sore spot for PlayStation since the end of PS3 generation imo. PS4 made improvements over time but was still pretty poor overall too, especially considering their market and mindshare lead.

I really like the PS5 but the store is so stupid compared to Steam
Nov 29, 2023 · I dislike the Steam store as well, but it's a lot better than the eShop (on Switch), the MS Store (on Xbox), and PS Store (on PS5). That said, navigating the eShop on the web is a much pleasant experience than any of the other options overall, including Steam, although obviously it has far fewer features.

Nov 29, 2023 · Except the Xbox store tells you when a game is part of a bundle, which is one of the OP's gripes about the PS5 store. In addition, there's rarely any confusion or risk related to buying the Xbox One version of a game vs an Xbox Series X version of the game because THEY'RE THE SAME GAME thanks to smart delivery.

Dec 21, 2020 · Also actually, the few times i have seen a sale featured in the ps5 store, the new UI is really hard to read the prices/percentage off text The ps4 store has those blue/yellow tabs displaying the % off which i found really easy to scan. The ps5 its all just written in plain white text and makes scrolling through the sale that much harder.

And why the hell is the PS5 store by default sorted by "recent", while the PS4 store is sorted by "most popular", which is completely useless?
