That would help in case when songs disappear from Spotify, but you own the album at home or in case of remixes not available on Spotify in situations when you're using Spotify as your main music player.

The picture stays as long as I'm using Spotify but if I close it and reopen it, it doesn't show the picture I uploaded earlier.
