The best game I ever played, was .hack, all 4 volumes of it. Back then it was groundbreaking for me to run around in a world made up of npcs pretending to be real humans in towns. I still sometimes download a ps2 emulator, just to play through it again. Because the game was simply just that good for me.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 - Probably one of the best MvC games ever made with it's large roster of fighters (even if it's downsized form the Dreamcast version) and combo system have made it a staple in my library of games. Resident Evil IV - Again a classic and back when QTEs weren't every fucking-where.

The Tony Hawk series holds up extremely well. It was in its absolute prime during the PS2 era. Personally I think THUG2 holds up best if you look at the games from a nowadays perspective, yet its highly discussed by fans which of the games really is the best. My personal favorites are Tony Hawks Underground 2 and Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4

Aqua Aqua : Wetrix 2 was the best puzzle game I ever played. So original and different to anything else. Bombastic is the PS2 version of Devil Dice on PS1. Another great puzzle game. Jun 14, 2017 · UPDATE: Just got around to finally burning some of these games to DVD-R and I can confirm they work flawlessly on my hard-modded (PAL) PS2. Just remember to make sure that if you're going to burn these game, always burn them at 2x speed otherwise they wont boot properly on the console.

Silent Hill 2 has been my favorite game since I first played it around 10 years ago. I don't think any game will ever top that game for me, the story, music, sound design, just about everything about that game I love. As you can probably tell I like horror games haha.
