Condensation of two molecules of acetone gives 4-methylpent-3-en-2-one (the trivial name of which is mesityl oxide) first. Keep in mind that since this is not a base catalyzed reaction, fair amount of 4-hydroxy-4-methylpent-2-one is also exist in the reaction mixture.
