It's mainly based on the Christopher Tolkien's map from Unfinished Tales, with some additions – I tried to keep it canon ofc. I think it turned out really nice.

Why is a great map of Middle Earth so damn hard to find? The ones in the books really suck, they’re absolutely tiny. And it really takes away from the reading experience when you can’t meticulously study where the characters are going to, or what the songs are about, because you need a magnifying glass to read the map.

May 8, 2024 · It’s a digital copy of the original CJRT map Cristopher made for his dad, with annotations by JRRT and Paula Baynes notes added onto it. Sadly the owner of the map didn’t produce a high quality scan of the map. But at least we got a transcribed version. Most fan-made and third party maps tend to stretch the maps east to west.

Aug 6, 2019 · I had a lot of fun making this and it feels like I've learned so much about the history and geography of Middle Earth while I spent about 20 hours in photoshop putting this together! Having said that, I'm sure there are many mistakes, both geographically and chronologically - especially in terms of scale and latitude/longitude.
