Jun 2, 2024 · Ever since updating to iOS 17.5.1 a few days ago both my and my daughters Messages app rarely works. Usually usually if you bring the app up, it’s just a blank black screen and all you can do is kill it or wait a little while and it’ll crash on its own. On the rare occasion you can actually use the app.

Nov 7, 2020 · Just FYI - That is Pin a text contact to the top feature that you may have accidentally activated. You can keep pinning other members of your Messages app as well for easy access. You can remove the Pinned contacts by Touching and Resting your finger on the pinned contact icon (jen1) and that will open up a sub-menu and then you can choose Unpin.
